Navigation & Audio Mini Cooper F56 won't read changes to USB music
Hi, I just got a 2015 Mini F56 (without the Mini Connect). I put all my music on a USB, plugged it into the car and it seemed to find and play the music well.
After seeing how the car read the music files on the USB, I then put my USB back in my computer to clean up the files (deleted some I didn't want, refiled others under different folders, etc).
Putting the USB back in the Mini it doesn't recognize any of the changes, it still pulls up the original files and folders, even the ones that are no longer there.
How can I "reset" the USB in the Mini so it pulls what is currently on the drive?
THANK YOU!

What format is the USB stick? I'd probably reformat it and put the music back and see what happens. USB's are pretty cheap, try another one and see if that triggers a change. I've had no issues with mine at this point.
Thanks for the response. I discovered that just changing the name of the USB stick fixed the issue. I guess it stores info by the name so every time I want to add or change the music on my stick I will just need to update the name, which is very quick and easy to do.
