how do you swap the R53 ECU?

My Ecu is broken so I put in a replace ECU from the junk but the car does start.
I saw online that I have get a program remove the immobilizer from the donor ECU or Virginlize it. I would like to get some advice from anyone who have done this . Thanks!

If the junk car is still available you can grab the immobilizer module and key (for the RFID chip inside) and get it to work but I think you'll still need to have the car coded to match all the modules together.

A virgin ECU is one without a VIN number which will also have to go to the dealer for programming.
