First Nordschlife trip 1.5 laps. Stock R56

Made the trip a couple hours north to nurburg - paid the 47 euro for 1.5 laps (i didnt enter near the main start/finish).
First thoughts were "holy hell - the hills" I'd GranTurismo raced the track a few times but nothing prepared me (nor my OEM brake pads - more on that later) for the viciousness and weight-transfers I experienced. Having not driven the track before, my mindset was "Smooth is fast. Smooth is safe" - I drove probably 8/10th on the hardest sections. I didn't go flat out on any straights because what's the point, really?
So before my first half-lap was finished, my brakes gave up about 80% of their stopping power. Coming downhill, slightly off-camber and my brake pedal is near the floor I just muscled the car through the series and then backed way off. By the time i completed I had some braking power again, but that evaporated soon-enough. I ended up following a stock VW Up! GTI for the last 2/3rds of the track.

Body roll. Brake fade. And Runflats. Coming back from the trip made me want to start spending money. Brake fluid, pads, SS brake lines for certain. Springs and sways likely. Oh - and probably a FMIC and tune. However, no tune will make the car more-capable as much as me learning the track. Also, I cant bring the car back to the states when I leave germany in a couple years - so reluctant to spend too much on parts.
Will post some track photos in the coming days as the ring photogs publish them.
Car details:
07 MCS, German-specs (No left-foot braking ability, which i find odd), Contini 17" runflats.
I ended up crossing the street opposite a group of Brit minis - they were all amazing. Proper tires - cages even. But what i liked best were the tall shifters that put the shift *** up closer to the speedometer. Need to find one of those.
