I have not taken any recent pictures. It has been miserable outside lately, so until that changes, I wont be taking any. My timing chain broke months ago and she has just been sitting pulled into the wood shed. The tarp over the entrance keeps blowing open. The joy of coastal life. Anyway, I am still paying on the damn thing and had intended to let it sit until I pay it off in a couple of years, then decide what to do. I went out the other day to get a tool out of it and found mildew starting on those beautiful heated seats that I miss so much. Just pulled the seats and cleaned them up and they are still perfect. But the longer it sits, the worse it will be. I will have a couple month breather soon, but it is never dry here too long.

I am testing the waters. Hopefully I don't get too swamped with replies, I am busy and lazy... I am thinking of converting the front seats into gaming seats...have something to remind me of the mini. Other than that, everything is there. The r56 engine is there. Has 180,000 plus on it if I recall. Just hit the wall of the cost to fix her being more than I could ever afford. I can tackle most mechanical stuff myself, but I draw the line at pulling the head in such a small area. Known issues w/ the engine are:

1.Broken timing chain, the bolt on the cam shaft (one toward the front of the engine, think that would be the exhaust side) sheered. The chain is stuck hanging there. I couldn't easily get it to come up from the oil pan where the end is stuck. No visible damage other than timing chain components and cam shaft bolt will have to be extracted from the cam.

2. The valves are most likely bent, so it would be stupid not to rebuild the whole thing.

3. After pulling the radio out to try and diagnose the audio shutting off randomly, the speedometer did not work when I put it back in. I usually only looked at the digital readout, so it didn't bother me.

4. The radio rarely does the no audio thing. The bluetooth and aux in do not work. I am not sure if i still have the aux in box in there after pulling it the last time.

5. She had the common intake issue where the check engine light would come on if you pushed the sport button and romped on it. I ran a can of seafoam through it and i think it had stopped triggering the light.. but don't remember.

6. Not really an issue, but headgasket went 2 months after I got it (2nd owner, 80,000 miles on it) and was replaced by northwest mini. I have replaced the thermostat and most of the hoses since then and it has been running on evans waterless coolant for about a year.

7. Windshield is cracked in multiple spots... badly. Two different rocks.

The 6-speed manual transmission has never given me a single issue. I will get the vin and show the packages that are in the car if I have time tomorrow. It has a lot of the premium stuff though. Any interest out there?

 

Do you still have the throttle body? How much to get it to Colorado Springs?

Everything is still in the car except the front seats. Have been busy in my off time and haven't had time to mess with things at all.
