TurboSmart dv/bov?

So I have been looking around for a DV solution for my N18. Came across the TurboSmart. They have two versions. The 50/50 DV/bov and a 100% DV. What are your experiences with these? I must admit I would like a little atmosphere sound at top boost. Maybe 10psi. But not the constant flutter Everytime I let of the gas.
Any other DV suggestions would be welcome.
Haven't seen stock DV problems yet, just looking ahead.

I have a Forge valve with the vent plate. Also Manic Stage 2. I’ve read mixed reviews on the TurboSmart valve use on the N18 due the plumbing to the intake manifold. Since the N18 engine doesn’t create vacuum when letting off the throttle, the valve doesn’t always open, which causes the fluttering. The Forge valve for the N18 tees into the vacuum pump, and still uses the OEM valve controls, so it will open even under low load conditions.

I have one on my '14 Clubman S with a 42mm turbo. I'm going to go back to the latest OEM DV. It does work especially after WOT pulls under high boost. but down low it makes a lot of turbo flutter because the N18 only produces 1.5mmHg of vacuum at idle and off throttle. If you want to try it out I'll sell you mine. Its the 100% DV one. The car doesn't throw any codes.

Thanks for the reply. What you are discribing is what I don't want . I know I am looking for the "best of both worlds". Bov sound with hard driving and normal sound with normal driving.

The N18 doesn't really like to have any atmospheric blow off. The N18 is more picky about expecting the extra air to return through the intake track.

I ran a BOV spacer for a week on my R55 and after a couple of days I started to not build full boost. I dropped from like 17lbs to 11lbs, I was running the JB+ at this point. I checked the adapter for leaks and tightness, everything looked good. Removed the spacer and full boost came back instantly

Not so sure I agree with you. I've had my TS diverter plate installed for over a year along with the Forge valve, without a problem. Pulls hard and strong all day long. I've had the Manic stage 2 tune for most of that time, also. Friend of mine has had the same plate installed on his N14 for just as long, and no boost or code issues either.
