Ah, funny I drove that car when Steve owned it and made an offer but at the time he wanted too much money for it. So I ended up with a 135i for a while. Miss having a Mini so I am back looking... I am interested.
Out of curiosity do you know what it costs to ship from SLC to SJ?

 

Haha, thats funny that I'd buy it out of the bay area and sell it back to the bay area.

What I did is a friend and myself flew into SFO, then drove the car to vegas for a night, had some fun, drove back to SLC. It was a ton of fun haha.

If you want I have a friend that runs a dealership and I could see what he could quote me on shipping (if you are serious). Just PM me your Zipcode if so!

If you did want to fly in, I can pick you up from the SLC airport anytime. SFO to SLC tickets are way cheap.
