GB badge on boot

Hi All, just got the GB metal badge from Ebay, I was thinking to put it at the usual place (left side of the boot when you look at the car from the rear), however, since it is metal, is not bendable and that area of the boot surface is curve, not flat. So, I thought may be I can find an alternative flat surface to put it, I found it and it is near the license plate area, as shown below using illistrated by software.

I have not done it yet, just want to see what you all think and wonder whether it may be offending some native British people (which I don't want) if I place the G and the B separately

Thanks for your input in advance.

Just my opinion... I am not crazy about it. This looks more like a person's initials that the country letters. How would it look if you had "U" on one side "S" on the other..??..

Can you try to gently bend them? I saw them tihs way on that comemorative MINI with the racing numbers etc.

Hi Nando,

Thanks for your kindly reply. I have decided to try bending it and it did bend after applying quite amount of force. So, they are now put on at the left hand side, the traditional/usual place.

Thanks.
