Cold Countryman Turbo?
Cold Countryman Turbo?
I have a 12 Countryman S that I have an intake an exhaust and intercooler piping on it with a jb+ Usually our can hear the turbo and the Diverter very loudly which I am used too. It’s been getting really cold in CT like below 32 for days on end and about a little less than a week ago I noticed the turbo is noticeably quieter and the car doesn’t pull as hard and when the diverter lets out boost it doesn’t sound very substantial. NO CODES ARE THROWN. I was still concerned so I took it all apart yesterday for the second time in case I missed something meaning I checked the diverter for rips I checked the turbo shaft both on the intake and exhaust side for play there is no play what so ever. I inspected and tested the wastegate which was also in good shape. I then moved onto the hoses that go from the wastegate to the boost converter and to the vacuum pump and like the rest all was good. I drive the car everyday so I can definitely feel the difference in pull and the difference in turbo sound. I saw on another thread the car may be spoiling less to accommodate air density which to me doesn’t seem like the car would do something like that. I’ve searched and searched and have taken the car apart twice not finding anything. Is it all in my head? Or is the wheather not allowing my car to pull hard and spool hard like it’s supposed too? Could my turbo be on the way out? HELP IM GOING INSANE
