Brake fluid

Hi all, It's time to change brake fluid on my 2013 JCW. I just wanted to know what brand everyone else is using on their cars? Thanks in advance!

Last time I used ATE typ 200. Any DOT4 fluid will be fine though. If you track or ax the car, consider finding fluids with higher boiling points like the Motul rbf600.

Thank you for the recommendation. Just ordered the ATE type 200. About 2 bottles should be enough right?

If it is just a daily driver street car you don't need anything special.
The Valvoline synthetic is a good fluid for that.

If you need something with a higher boiling point we use the Motul RBF600 as it has an almost 600 deg boiling point and I've even run this in the race car for years.

we also sell the ATE but it doesn't have near the boiling point the Motul

2 bottles (2L) is more than enough, yeah. I think I only needed one bottle for a full flush

BMW brake fluid is DOT4. I plan on using Amsoil DOT4 synthetic on my next flush. As mentioned above DOT4 is fine for street use.
