Stopping Interior Lights fr: Turning Upon Open/ Close Doors

I'm curious if I'm possibly overlooking something here in order to get this done? I live in S. Florida and there's these things called mosquitoes that have a way of being attracted to light sources, not to mention I have no tint and hate the fact that the light automatically turns on to show the world the interior/ me every time I open the door/ hatch.

Please, if anyone knows of a workaround to this let me know. I've thought to take the bulbs out but that seems a bit drastic.

In the summer, your car will thank you

Check page 90 in your owners manual. If you don't have one there is a PDF version in FAQ.

I would definitely check into a tint, especially in FL. When I was stationed in Satellite Beach that's the first mod I made on my new IROC-Z.

Car is already black, then to add tint would give it too much black, at least for me it would... Always felt there were only a select few cars that can still have a class look to em that can go all black... Other than that I really like the way the lines are accentuated/ roof breaks from the body w/o a tint. So yeah, I guess a bit of a sacrifice in practicality but since the interior is cloth, no worries
