Dv - r56 n18

Hello guys,

I own a R56 N18 engine and my DV needs to be replaced. At the moment, my setup is downpipe, intercooler, intake, iridium spark plugs and next month i`m going to remap.

I was looking for ALTA recirculation valve and they say that their product doesn`t work with N18 engine because they don`t have a realible vacuum/boost point and I would have CEL/Limp mode.

After that I moved to Forge one and works the same way, based on vacuum/boost on the intake. How do the forge works and Alta not?

I also researched for the GFB and I heard a lot of problems with lubrification.

What should I do?

Gabriel

The Forge valve still uses the stock actuator, but ties into the vacuum pump for vacuum source. The Alta valve “tricks” the OEM actuator and pulls from the intake manifold. I have the Forge valve on my N18.

No videos. I have a blowoff plate, so it sounds much different than the diverted version.
