2009 Clubman S Sat Raido

I just bought a cooper s clubman .. I talked to the dealer and I found out that my clubman was set up for Sat Radio .. but they want $500 for some kind of code# to tell the car to show the Sat on the radio ... is this the only way that I can make this happen is to buy this from them ?

Why bother, have you listened to Sirius/XM lately? Sounds like someone singing thru a can in a tunnel. I had it for a few months, the audio was horrible. When I went to cancel, they are a horrible company to deal with.

Can you turn it to the Sattelite symbol on the display? Sirius/XM is free for a short time, just popped up on my display with all the channels. If you dont have the symbol they have to activate it.

no... that is what I need is some kinda of code to unlock it in the car ... the car is equipped with it just not turned out ... was kinda hoping someone might have an idea rather then spending $500 to turn on the darn thing

Head over to the coding thread in the Navigation and Audio forum. You can add the code yourself with a windows laptop and a $25 cable. (Or a Mac running VMWARE Fusion or Parallels and a windows virtual machine.)
