Pairing iPhone 6 to mini connected with USB

I made trip to town to get the “Y” cable in the hope that this would be the solution to my problems. $100 later and I still can’t get it to connect. It says there’s nothing plugged in, even though it’s using the connection to play music. Anyone have any thoughts or should I give up and head back to the dealership?

Pairing is a term used for connecting via Bluetooth. Is that what you are trying to do?

Your Countryman is not a first generation car, so the post belongs in Countryman section! You will get more responses in that area.

My mistake, I’m wanting to connect via USB/audio connectIons in order to get apple car play. I haven’t figured out all the ins and outs of the forum yet. I’ll try posting in the Countryman section. Thx.
