Hi! Can anyone confirm for me that the rear 259mm disc on an r56 is interchangeable with a 259mm disc from an r53? I’ve just ordered replacement discs for my r56 expecting brembo part number 08.9163.21 but received 08.9163.11 from my supplier. The brembo compatibility chart states the .21 is for the 56 and the .11 is for the 53 however the specs on brembo’s website are very very similar, like 0.4 mm out in one or two places. Potentially not a significant difference but I wanted to make absolutely sure. Over to the panel...

 

Go to realoem.com and enter the rear brake disc p/n 34 21 6 774 987 for an R53. Then enter that same p/n where it allows a search for use on other models. It will confirm use on an R56. However, I cannot comment on the BREMBO interchangeability.
