Hello Mini Maniacs, Have a question for you. I rolled into a screaming deal and traded in my '09 R56 for a '17 F55 CPO with 4,5k miles on it. This thing is mint!

Question is, the on board system is stating that I'm overdue for an oil change at 6k (have 5k and change on it now). Why is the system telling me I need a change if the first oil service isn't due until 10k?

Inquiring mind wants to know.

 

It's also based on time. 1 year.

I had the same question as you, with my 2013 R56.
First oil change at 3 months!! Car sat on dealers lot for 9
Months.
