Replacing spark plugs - cold or warm engine?
Hi all.
2010 MCS (N14)
I'm thinking of replacing the plugs myself since they seem very accessible. I've replaced plugs on older Japanese cars many times and it didn't have any issues with the engine being cold.
Since the Cooper is (new to me), anything I should be aware of before doing it?
I will have the new thin-wall socket from ESC, plugs, dialectic grease and copper-based anti-seize compound for the threads.
Should I do it with the engine cold or warm?
Anything to be mindful of that would help?

I have always done spark plugs with engine cold, with no issues. Just make sure not to over torque the new plugs!
You may find that the ignition coils are hard to remove but you just have to apply steady lifting force and maybe wiggle it a little too.
