Torque Solutions BOV Adaptor Major Fitment Issues

Hey everyone, I went to install the above part today (b/c I'm a huge ricer and want to make sneeze noises) but noticed there's clearly no way it will fit. Beyond grinding down the mount tabs, which seems to be a somewhat normal problem, there is a coolant hose about 1/4" behind recirc valve and the spacer is about 1/2" thick. There is simply not enough room for the part. I've attached some pictures below to help explain. Anyone have any ideas? They say it will fit my year (2011 MCS). I guess I'll just call up TS and request my money back.

Related, who's responsible for designing the horrid location of the recirc valve? It looks like it was the first part laid down during the build of the car, and everything else was added around it. As a former OEM suspension engineer, I'd like to have a strongly worded conversation with Mini's design engineers.

-Brandon

I have one, and I just wedged it in there. Haven't had any issues other than during the fitting process.

I got mine to bolt up and fit, wasn't too bad. but within a few days mine started to leak boost. Tried to tighten it but it didn't help. ended up just setting it to the side.

I have the N14 engine and it wasn't a bad job. Looks like you have the N18 with the thermostat recall (temp sensor in the elbow) what a nightmare and possibly an automatic since your hoses are routed differently. Good luck getting the room to work.

GO Fast Bits is supposed to have a version that works on N18 with automatic tranny. DV+
