LOL, sorry, I did my homework within a few hours after posting that. I don't procrastinate, I either do it or don't

 

I wonder if they'll have some sort of funky roof rack to go on the convertables for all the surfers there!

Easy - just have some mechanical or hydraulic arms that raise and lower the rack system so that the roof can still retract in it's normal fashion.
I wouldn't suggest raising or lowering at your favorite drive-thu however.
