I havent dont it on kombi but i did it on CAS with R270. I am not sure if there is an option to change the vin through R270. but you can always use WinKfp to do so. is the chip part of the library in R270?

I do not think winkfp can change the vin on the ecu or kombi modules, it has to be done with a direct method like the r270

on the kombi? It should be eprom vin locked just like the ECU for the same reason, to prevent mile rollbacks

I'll try it, right now my cluster shows I've only got 70k miles, the car has 110k miles on it

my understanding is if the vin is changed or set to FF it'll re-read the miles and set it to the highest module (ecu in my case)

So the mileage you want is 110k right?

dumb question, what happened to the original kombi?

Took out a crono center and put in a used nav center without the screen/radio, using a 7" datalogger for track inatead

Hi,

Were you able to change the VIN on the Navi unit?
