Improve your BMW MINI Cooper or MINI Cooper S with this complete set of Harmon-Kardon sound system upgrade components.

These OE (original equipment) HK parts were removed from an undamaged '03 US car.

Included, as shown in photo below:

• HK Amplifier and bracket for mounting to the body.
• Pair of 6"x9" rear speakers
• Pair of 5.25" lower door speakers
• Pair of upper door speakers w/door pulls.
• Wiring connectors for the amp, speakers and head unit.
• Complete BMW/MINI 16 pages of instructions for retrofitting and upgrading your system to full HK spec, including wiring diagrams.

If you have a US spec car, you already have the correct MINI "Boost" head unit that is used with the HK system. The head unit is NOT included.

NOT included: Wiring. BMW designed an HK audio upgrade harness and issued part numbers as part of a planned HK retrofit kit, but apparently never released it to production. You'll make a wiring harness using the OE BMW connectors and color-coded schematic wiring diagram included. This is not difficult, just time consuming.

No wires, after market would be less expensive. No head unit, what if you have a cassette player, not a CD? What is your price (Not BMWS) plus shipping? And just how will this benefit Paul Newmans Hole in the Wall Gang?

If you have a cassette unit, you dont have the factory "Boost" head unit, and you will have to research if your head unit has the same 42 pin connector and is compatible with the HK setup.

The "Victory Junction" info is included in all my ebay auctions and parts sales... we donate a portion of each sale to the camp... last year, that totalled $3,045. Buying my stuff helps critically ill kids have fun... its that simple.

Are the silver covers included?

 

I think you mean the silver speaker grille covers embossed with "Harmon-Kardon".

They dont attach to the speakers... they are heat-welded to the interior door panels and rear side panels and they are not easily removed. So I sold the entire ( bright red) panels previously.

The grilles are decorative only... your regular door panels and speaker grilles will fit perfectly with no modification... they just wont say "H-K" on them.:smile:

Everything in the photo is included, plus MINI factory instriuctions on how to retrofit the HK components to the standard US "Boost" stystem.

 

That is what I was afraid you would answer. I already have the HK but painted the grills and regret doing so. The red wouldn't have worked as we have the anthracite interior. Thanks so much for answering my question. Happy Holidays,
