After an thorough inspection I fear the prior owner went places a MINI shouldn't have gone.
What's in the Pacific NW that needs a new home?
Thank you!

You should be able to have a custom exhaust build for about 500 in stainless with Mendel bends. If you want a premade exhaust cat back I have heard quite a few good things about the miltek catback. There are lots of options and a huge price range. 600-1800$. I have the Nvidia catback and while it sounds good and looks pretty it has a few flaws. Resonator collapse within 10months and had to be removed. Somehow wasnt covered under warranty. And at the Y it has cracked on the bottom which can't be from a bump since the flange would hit long before the pipe. If you're just looking for a stock exhaust you should be able to source a used JCW ehaust for about 400 but I would be worried putting steel on that old. It's best at this point to invest in a nice quality stainless steel exhaust that will last 15-20 years. I can't say my Nvidia looks like it will make it that long.
Looking for a reasonably priced aftermarket exhaust for my R53. The current one is shot, too many rattles and a few bends & dents where there shouldn't be.

IMO need to think about how long you are going to keep the car and when you get rid of it how much is the exhaust system going to add to the value. Perhaps this is sacrilege, but I am not that big into what the pipe under my car looks like meaning SS is not that important. Most of time the muffler wears out not the pipe.
The big thing with a shop made muffler is having somebody that recognizes some back pressure is good for the supercharger. I have a friend that had the shop doing some of his mods fabricate up his muffler. Single pipe, single muffler with double tips. I think he used a Magnaflow european muffler, little thing but I call him the Shreader and how that baby sounds when he steps on it.
