R53 P1125 SES EML and little power. Low miles.
I recently bought a 02 R53 with 51K, which has been very nice…...untill it went in to limp mode on hard acceleration, about 6k in 2nd. I did get it home.
I then read and cleared codes with my cheapo OBDII wifi and dash command. P1125 SES and EML are persistent.
Symptoms: surge at idle calms down and it sounds fine. Driving it is smooth but at 3k in first, you punch it and very little happens LOL. You slowly speed up.
After reading up, I have ordered a by pass valve and a throttle body, but am also considering a fuel filter. It will rev standing still, almost as normal.
My plan is to swap the BPV and TB first, check connections, and see what happens, Thoughts?
When I reach under and push in BPV it does resist.
