I have a 2012 Mini S R56 in Reef Blue Metallic (the dark, dark, blue) with black rims and accents. I want to throw just a bit of color in there to break it all up. I was wondering what you guys thoughts as far as the color combos that would look good with the dark blue and black.

I was thinking about either a lighter blue, purple, or dark gold. mostly just on the mirror caps, scuttles, and grill trim. maybe the light rings too. any opinions and help welcome, as I am not very good with color coordination.

 

My vote would be for the lighter blue. Reef Blue Metallic is a great color!

 

I love my Reef Blue Hampton edition! I think some Chili red in a few spots would look nice, too.

 

Yeah, a few of my friends have backed up the lighter blue as well....not sure how light blue to go though. don't want baby blue lol, gonna have to find that right shade.
