17x8 wheels

Hey all,

I did my best to search but I was just wondering if anyone is running 17x8 wheels on a factory sport suspension 2nd gen JCW. I like the fifteen52 tarmacs, and I see many R53's running them, but I'm unclear how the fitment would be on the R56 JCW. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

I have 17x7.5 wheels with 235/40/17 tires on lowered suspension and had some rear tire rubbing over bumps then I installed Ohlin's and adjusted them so it does not rub much anymore

Thanks for the reply man. Your car looks great. I was also looking at a set of rota slipstreams that are 17x7.5. I might just go that route.

Is 17x8 the max width you can put on a not altered JCW with no fender flares?
I would like to do a custom offset wheel that is 17x8.5, but its is this possible to do with NO flares, or its a must have? Because I did see a guy on youtube put some Apex ARC 18x8.5 wheels on his MCS but he had fender flares on.
