F55/F56 3rd MINI, and still having a blast!
3rd MINI, and still having a blast!
Hi motorers,
I took delivery of my 3rd MINI a few months ago as a weekend/toy car (2 kids, so not an option as a main family car). I was looking for an S with no options, and had a great deal on a 2016 S with sunroof off the dealer's lot.
Previously, I had a 2003 S and a 2011 Countryman All4 S. I had the opportunity to test all 3 versions of the S engine. The first gen S/C was a blast to drive and had a unique whine. The Countryman S was fun to drive to I had to sell it within a year to make room for a kid.
In August, I took delivery of my third MINI and must say it has well grown up. Quality is improved everywhere and that 2.0L engine is well engineered! I've added a Dinan module and a K&N intake (for the sound...) and it is a blast to drive! I've also added NM springs and quite a few exterior mods to make it look less flashy/less chrome.
The first one:
