Supercharger Oil Service - What else can be done while apart?
I'm looking to do the S/C oil service soon, and was curious what else I should look at doing while the front end is apart? Car currently has 90k on the odo. Tips/suggestions are welcome.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I just completed my SC service about 4 days ago myself. While I had the front end apart I replaced my SC pulley with a Craven 15% pulley, replaced water pump and flange, replaced thermostat housing and 'stat, Belt Tensioner, Idler, ATI Super Damper, and a new radiator cooling fan. Oh, colder spark plugs and a new serpentine belt to boot. With the front end opened up all these parts are a piece of cake to get to and replace. Your gonna have a blast!
You should at least do the supercharger inlet gasket

outlet gasket

and water pump

Other than that the labor on other parts doesn't overlap much. But with 90k I would for sure do an ATI damper as the stock ones are way to common to fail.

Thanks for all the suggestions. While I may have fun with ease of access to things, my wallet won't with all these parts.
With that being said, I'd be foolish NOT to replace these things that can be accessed so easily.
Thanks again!

What about changing the oil pan gasket? I have a very small weep around the oil pan gasket now, that was recommended to have changed by a dealer, but I didn't want to pay the extravagant labor price at the time. No puddles on the ground, so leak is very minimal. I imagine with the front end apart, may as well change it if its easy to get to then.
