Rear a arm support. Is there an easier way

2003 S. I need to replace the rear A arm mount/bushing (front suspension, passenger side). The Bentley manual instructs you to "lower the sub-frame" to remove this part. After looking at it I understand why(you can't remove two of the mounting bolts..there isn't enough room to withdraw them, they're too long)
Are there any short cuts you out there are willing to share that have worked?

It's usually called the front control arm bushings or FCAB there's dozens of threads and videos on youtube about the best way to do it.

Here's a DIY with removing the subframe

here's a video with a short cut with a saws all

I think the best way is probably lowering the the rear of the subframe and pulling the brackets off and putting new brackets with new bushing in. Pretty much everyone agrees that powerflex poly bushings are better than OEM and they never need to be replaced again.

We just unbolt the subframe pry it down in the back. That gives us enough room to get the bolts out.
But if you are going through this work don't do just one side always do them in a pair. Also replace them with the powerflex bushings as they will never wear out again, unlike the rubber ones that have a lifespan of 40k.

We found trying to do them on the car removing the control arm only often was harder or the ball joints will get damaged.

So you don't remove the control arm? do you loosen anything up front to help lower the back of the sub frame?

Nope never remove the control arms
usually pull the PS reservoir out of the bracket, but otherwise just unbolt the subframe and steering rack then pull it down.
