Back after 12 years

After selling my 2005 Mini Cooper JCW, I have just purchased a new 2017 Mini Cooper S, with the John Cooper Works Tuning Package. I have purchased this to replace my 2015 Audi RS5. It has hit 50,000 miles so time to sell. I have wrapped the whole front with XPEL Ultimate, put a Cravenspeed iPhone holder on and tinted the windows with Llumar Ceramic tint.

Great car and I can remember why I liked this car back in the early 2000's. This is my 3rd Mini, the other two being 1st generation. I can tell you that this one is definitely more grown up, and also a bit more heavy. But the power is definitely up considerably. I am still breaking it in, so I haven't pushed it. The low end torque is good. I am coming from a car that makes all of its power over 5,000 rpm and redlines at nearly 9,000 rpm, so the driving experience is definitely a bit different. Love the Tuning Package exhaust and rev-matching. But I miss the tightness of the handling found in the 1st generation. I may be looking at a JCW Pro coilover.

Interesting seeing the 2005 and 2016 cars side by side. You can see how there's several inches more of front overhang and the longer back window. The front doors look the same. I wonder what the difference in weight and length is.

That's pretty amazing. The car is substantially bigger, but only slightly heavier. Nice engineering!
