Once you get your 'more power' you're going to need improved handling. THE BEST bang for the buck there is a heavier, 19 or 22 MM, adjustable rear sway bar and performance struts.

Massive power gains aren't cheaply attained with these cars as they are with other sports compacts.

Performance handling mods are going to be cheaper and make the car and you as a driver quicker.

before anything make sure your maintenance is up to date, next time you need air filter grab a high flow panel, i like the dry ones AFe or pipercross are nice, K&N/alta etc if you prefer oiled but clean MAF often :
tune - manic stage 1 can be done stock@ $500, subsequent upgrades only cost the difference.
downpipe - catless will make more power, priced from $250-600, materials, coating, etc
larger front mount intercooler - name brands go from $450-700, same concept for design, pick one... few of us have had decent luck with ebay/chinese/knockoff branded ones for $200ish

if you want to jump to stage 2 tunes youll need to atleast get rid of the second cat, but full exhaust would be best
