Hello all, and quick question about motor rotation direction.

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to give a quick shout out to everyone on the board.
Looks like I found the mother load of all the information and market place for used parts.

I just purchased a 2012 Mini Cooper JCW N14 vin T499178

The car is in need of repairs, previous owner had an accident with a deer.
There is some turbo damage, Now with all of that removed

I want to rotate the engine over by the turning on the crank pulley, to ensure nothing else is up before I move forward with the turbo purchase. Anyone have a jcw oem borg warner?

Can someone chime in on the direction the n14 engine rotates?

Thanks in advance

-conrad

Turn the crank CW only. If you plan to do your own work, a Bentley Service manual is highly recommended. Pricey, but well worth it.

We have a factory fresh JCW BW turbo on the shelf ready to rock, as well as our TOL Super Kit that has many components that you'll need to do the job right. Give us a call if you need any advise or part help.

Like OBW said; clockwise only.

I 'll have to invest in the Bentley guide.

I'll check your site on the turbos.

Thanks again for the reply.

It is one of the best investments you'll make on vehicle ownership, it's a wealth of knowledge.
