Occasional engine oil pressure light

Hi folks! I have a 2012 countryman s and have gotten a check engine oil pressure light a couple of times when I turn on my car. The oil level is fine and the light goes off if I wait a few minutes or turn the car off and turn it back on again. It doesn't happen very often and the car seems fine otherwise. My husband did a little research and ordered a replacement oil pressure sensor but has found it very hard to get to to replace. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this or any suggestions for what else could be causing this problem before he tears my car apart! Thank you for any help in advance!

The oil pressure sensor is located right on top of the oil filter housing, see link. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=11_4574
just make sure you have enough oil until the job is done. low oil can lead to lots of issues.
