R56 DSC Help!
DSC Help!
Hey Guys,
I have a 2013 R56S. I have done AutoX for 3 years and track days on my MINI R56S. The only reason I am making this threat is because i have always had this concern because people say they get a different result from their car.
I have owned two R56 a 2012 and a 2013 (current). When i turn off the DSC i just press the button and the light in the center console turns on.
However, I know many of you guys say that if you hold it and press it for 3+ seconds the BRAKE light turns on and that makes it so that DSC and DTC are turned off.
I sadly have never gotten two lights or anything. When i press and hold the DSC button for longer then 10 seconds the light just turns off.
How do you turn the DSC and everything fully off on an 2013 MCS then?
Thanks!

To turn everything off for AutoX on a 2013, press and hold the DTC/DSC button down for 3-5 seconds until led the display (on your tach) reads "DSC OFF". The DTC warning light will also be lit in the center speedo cluster.
Note: Only pressing the DTC button once or holding it down for less than 3 seconds will result in only the DTC being turned off (showing "TRACTION" in the led display). The DSC will remain on, which will still result in the engine cutting power when it detects loss of traction
