I just had my first oil service. I had some things checked and the daytime running lights activated. I think the software was upgraded, although I don't see it in the paperwork. I'm not mad about it, just curious.

The reason I think the software is different: When I pull into the garage, I always switch the fan to re-circulated (cue the familiar vents closing sound) to keep ugly garage smells out of my MINI.

Since the service: When I switch the fan to re-circulated (cue the vents closing sound) and then switch off the car, I can hear the vents moving again. Opening, I guess, but they didn't do this before. I can only assume that this would be a software controlled issue.

Any ideas? I sent an email to my SA, but I haven't heard back.

Again, I am just curious. MY MINI runs and sounds better than ever since the oil change so I am happy...
