As I posted in 1st Gear this is my new to me Mini. As promised, below are pics of my 05 R52, Purple Haze or Black Eyed Purple, I haven't figured that out yet.

Nice! Black Eye Purple and Purple Haze are the same color. BEP wasn't PC to use as a color name in the US.

 

Thanks RB! I was wondering what in the Sam Hill was up with the whole BEP vs Purple Haze thing. So BEP is a Euro designated moniker and Purple Haze is the U.S. Version, same color right!

 

Yes, and unless you're a Jimmy Hendrix fan, Black Eye Purple seems like a much more interesting name for a color. If I had a Purple Haze labeled car, I would change the paint code decal in the engine compartment to a BEP one as a goofy mod that no one would probably notice.
