Wear sensor and resetting brake light

I just had the front brake pads and rotors replaced on my 2013 Countryman. The mechanic - local garage - said that the sensor was only a dealer item - it does appear that the sensor is available from Rock Auto. How hard is this to replace and can I reset the brake light? The dealer is 2 hrs away and I would prefer to do it locally if possible

Click on the Vendor Directory and visit a few of them. There is always a little variation in price and or shipping. The sensors are a plug in device any shop can hook up for you including the guy who did the front end job for you.

The sensor is not a dealer only part. I just searched my local parts store website and they have them in stock. I am surprised your local shop couldn't get one from their parts supplier or local parts store.

Sensor is not dealer only, we keep them in stock as we do brake jobs in the shop all the time.

Look up the procedure in the Bentley Manual as it is the same reset as the R56 has.
