Hey everyone! Been a member of the forum for a while, but didn't post much.

My 2008 Mini Cooper S is up for sale with 72,433 miles. Asking $5,000 obo.

The water pump failed and the engine overheated. Cylinder 1 has 0 psi of compression while pistons 2-3 have 60 psi. There might just be a bad head gasket, or might be something worse, but unfortunately, I do not have the time to diagnose it myself. The timing system would also need to be replaced (assuming the motor doesn't because of a hole in the piston, scored sidewalls, etc. that is hard to diagnose without pulling the engine apart. I have all of the repair/service documents since my ownership (July 2010), and have changed the oil every 5K. Unfortunately, this was a freak accident, and had nothing to do with the car maintenance.

If someone has the time, you could put another engine in and have a great car for <9k.
