Raleigh area Sept 16th meeting

Has anyone heard any plans for this meeting? If it's going to happen, we need to get something in the works pretty quickly.

I haven't, but with my move and all coming up in a couple of weeks, I may have to bail on this one. I'd love to come, but I still have a ton of stuff to get done in a couple of weeks! I'll see how things are shaping up for this by Wednesday.

Sorry for the radio silence... I was in Boston all last week.

I'm up for Thursday night. We just need to pick a location.

Since we are still a relatively small group, we still don't have to worry about private rooms.

We can revert back to someplace near the airport or try something in the Crossroad's area to help our Fayetteville friends.

In Crossroads, we have:
Ruby Tuesdays
Jack Astors
Houlihans
Golden Corral

Any thoughts???

I've been told Houlihans is nasty, but I've never eaten there to know for sure, but I usually listen to my mother when she tells me a place has bad food. Ruby Tuesdays would probably work for me. I will have to let you know later this week if I can make it though. I've got two weeks to get all this done, so I may not be able to make it.

Who or what is a "Jack Astor's"? I know the Houlihan's here in town isn't that great and Golden Corral would be way too noisy. So it's down to either R.T. or J.A.. I'm fine with either, though I'm leaning towards Astor's just because I've never tried one.

We'll have to watch out what's going on with the storm too. Ivan's suposed to be in the area around then. Hate to be weather dependent, but there's a chance I might opt out if it's really nasty out.

Jack Astor's is a restaurant in the newer section of the Crossroad's shooping area.

After a little thought, I would recommend Ruby Tuesday's for it's easy access to US1 North / I-40 travelers.
Map to Ruby Tuesday

Tonight's Dinner

I'll see how I feel after I get home. Right now, I have a ton of stuff to do for me moving completely out of my apartment next weekend, and I'm physically and mentally exhausted.

If I'm up to it, then I'll be out there. I may get home and fall asleep though. If I can't make it or sleep through it, I"ll be at the next one!

>>>Bob's business was relocated in 2 days.<<< Gee, you make it sound so easy! What's not mentioned was the 5 weeks in building prep and the moving of the the non-essential stuff.

Seriously though, I had a fun time last night, though, as Chris mentioned turnout was quite small. As can be seen by the list is his post there's a lot of upcoming events in the next 6 weeks. Make your plans now to attend one, some, or all of them.
