Today i fitted these RPF-1's to my '06 JCW and they're really a worthwhile mod, better than my expectations!
What do you think?
I had it fitted with a new set of summertires (205/45 R17), since i wanted to ditch the awful and extremely stiff runflats.
My stock rims were 9,5 kg and the new rim is 6,8 kg and the difference (combined with the new tire) is pretty big!
The whole drive is better: acceleration, pick-up, braking, cornering, noise, suspension and dampening of potholes, etc.
The differences per area are not huge, but it gives a bit of improvement in every area, even comfort has improved quite a bit!
With the runflats, giving it a bit of throttle in a quick turn would spin the wheels, understeer was a big problem.
This is all gone now!
Now i know, that every car i'm owning in the future (and fitted with RFT's), will get this treatment, it's just one of those mods with little to no downsides.
I still have to get some center caps, but that's just a matter of time 😉
