my 2005 mini cooper driver window does not travel all way up when door is closed so it whistles at highway speeds. can this be adjusted?
has anyone else had the same issue?

 

My Cooper S was like yours wouldn't roll all the way up there was like 2" left so I would just pull the rest up by hands. Went to a auto glass shop they told me my window regulator was going. Went to the dealership, they wanted like $375 fk that so went to Rock auto and got it for $130 + $30 shipping to Hawaii, went back to the glass shop they charge me $100 labor and now it's all good

The window has up adjustments (on regulator, which requires door panel off) and pitch adjustments (on bottom of door). The first adjustment may require the special tool to adjust it. (I bought one, but I can tell you it can be done without it.) The pitch adjustments are under the door. These are two 10mm bolts. You can loosen them, push the bolts up and push to the outside of car and that adjusts the window to tilt in further in and tighten the glass to the door seal. (fairly easy adjustment)

Go to this site, www.pelicanparts.com They have the entire procedure to replace the window regulator and adjustment. I bought the regulator for $50 about 4 years ago and did the work myself in my front yard.
