I have a 4 door hardtop loaner. The clutch is fully covered under my extended maintenance. Maintenance plan fully paid for itself with 1st issue.
It's cool that it's covered under your extended maintenance but a clutch shouldn't go out at 45,000 miles! I have a 2012 with 26000 and I'm on my second clutch and I'm hoping I'm wrong but soon it might my third. Driving a manual since I started driving and I'm over 50 and IMO there is some kind of design flaw. First vehicle in over 8 I have owned that I have had to replace a clutch let alone 2 on a new purchase vehicle.
2012 All4 S here with 32k miles. Goes to the shop tomorrow with clutch/transmission issue. Several times this week after sitting at a red light in neutral could not shift back into gear when the light turned green. Also, taking off from first gear there is vibration and chattering. Right at the end of warranty per the 48 month time period.
The MINI extended warranty covered my first clutch and flywheel under Original Maintenance Warranty, but not the second clutch, despite being under 100,000.
