R56S Brake and Clutch Fluid Change Question

Can someone school me on this, please?

My wife took our Mini to the dealership this morning to take advantage of the remainder of the Extended Maintenance Plan before it expired.

We were due for a brake fluid change (free), according to the service indicator, and ended up with a free oil change, too.

I asked my wife to ask the service adviser if, since they share the same fluid, the clutch fluid gets 'changed' at the same time. He told her, no, they do not change clutch fluid when they change brake fluid.

So, why is this? Thanks, in advance!

The clutch master also uses the brake master cylinder reservoir via an attached line. As to why they don't bleed the clutch, could be that it's not a necessary service interval at that time. Not sure. Good discussion it in this thread. It's blocked, but if you click it and type in motoring alliance .com where the *** or funky symbols are it should bring you to it. http://www.*********************/for...-bleeding.html
