Brake upgrade from R56 Justa

Hi guys. Been searching around but couldn't find much info.

I have a 07 non-s mini cooper and I was wondering if it's worth the trouble to do caliper/rotor upgrade. If so which options do I have?

Would a cooper-s rotor upgrade make any noticeable differences? or would pads and rotor be good enough?

so many info about r56 brakes into r53 or r53s but nothing about justa i could find.

This is a street/DD car and just want a little more bite. I already have a dedicated track car so quiet and low dust pads would be nice

If you are not tracking and dont want to do the R56 S brakes, I would just get a good set or rotors and hawk/ or ebc pads.

I run the ECS geomets with hawk HPS and they were great on my R56.

I found the HPS to be a little weak. How about the Carbotech 1521?

I upgraded to Cooper S rotors and bought new caliper brackets. The rotors are a little bigger. It uses the same pad and caliper. I did it because I bought the wrong rotors and said "what the hell, I'm gonna use them". So I orders to caliper brackets and it was a done deal. They certainly look better filling up the wheel. I have absolutely no complaints with my braided brake hoses, and EBC Redstuff pads, along with the bigger rotors. Truth be told the car stopped perfectly fine with the stock components.

Hey Ive's Mini. Just curious. Do all the R56s uses the same caliper/rotor combo?

The rotor is a little larger, so it requires a new caliper bracket, but the pads and rotors are the same. Simply bolt on the brackets with the 2 new rotors and bolt the caliper back on and you are done.

yea, its a quick upgrade. Only thing is down the road is someone does not know you did the S brakes , they will order the wrong rotors. So Mark it in the manual or maybe a sticker in the door jam like the JCW brake kits.
