My power mods: will they conflict with each other?

Hi - so as my signature says I have a 2016 JCW. I also have Mini's Bluetooth exhaust. I received my NM power module yesterday. So as the title suggests, will having all power mods running: sport mode on, Bluetooth exhaust on, NM power mod set on low.....at least for 20-30 miles then switching to high, and running on 92 octane gas. I thought I read on here somewhere that one of the mods I listed (can't remember which one) will actually keep my "flap" closed on one of my exhaust pipes? I am pretty green as far as anything mechanical, all I know how to do well is detailing, and race (auto-x, 5000+ hours logged). So I would appreciate any feedback on if I'm actually running "too much", or if everything is compatible. Thanks.

You should be good except for the high setting on the NM module on 92 octane.

Yes, consensus seems to be that when you have the NM module on a JCW, you should only run on HIGH with 100+ octane race fuel. LOW should be fine.

Keep in mind SPORT mode will not alter power output, but rather it just changes how sensitive the throttle gets, changes steering weight, and if you have an automatic, it also changes your shift points.

I will probably keep it on low setting. Jerry at NM told me he's been running his on hi with 91 octane and never thrown a code, never had any power loss. I might do what he suggested and run it on low for 20-30 miles then switch it over to high....just to try it out. I also have a gas station within 10 minutes of me that sells both 101 and 106 octane. I used to go there a lot when I was racing my old e36 M3. But just for putzing around it's a pain in the *** when you pay $120-140 for a tank of gas.

Jerry was talking about a Cooper S, not a JCW. I'll try it possibly this week if I have the time to set it on high, but because the JCW runs at a higher boost than the S, it has been said to either throw codes or run out of air at the higher RPMs. It also makes more power at the low setting as well compared to the S, dynode around 30-35 hp per one session I read on here at a dyno test in Japan.

Good call....I thought he had a JCW. Like I mentioned I am planning on doing some dyno runs pre-power mod then post power mod.

I'm trying to figure out if I have the same "hidden menu" for dyno's only like another member mentioned in a different thread.....but he has a auto tranny, mine's a manual. Like I said I'm pretty "green" on most things mechanical. I like the point you make about the "higher boost" on a JCW compared to a "S". Another good reason to keep the NM power mod set to low. Thanks.

Thanks for volunteering a pre/post NM module dyno. Looking forward to the results.
