Hi all,

I have a 2013 mini Cooper S Coupe. I connect my iPhone 5s to my regular mini radio using the mini/bmw iPhone cable(30 pin) and an apple 30 pin to lightening adapter. It works just fine. I plan on getting a "battery case" specifically the Mophie case. It seems that all te battery cases i have looked at are charged using a micro USB port. I do t really want to have to remove the iPhone from the case every time I get into my mini. Was thinking of using a 30 pin to micro USB adapter. Has anyone used this kind of set up successfully?

 

For music just buy an older iPod nano

 

I like to stream music too(Pandora).
I picked up the mophie a juice pack plus yesterday. I connected it using the head phone jack . Actually sounds pretty good! The only thing is I can't control my phone through the radio - that's ok though.

 

One reason I haven't bought a Mophie case for my 6 has been for this very reason.

Fortunately, Apple now makes a battery case with a lightning port.
Unfortunately, the case is only for the iPhone 6 and 6s.

 

Yeah, if I get 6, I will look at the apple case. But for now I like the mophie for my 5s. I also just bought the mophie car dock. Really nice mount - mounted to a generic cup holder suction mount.

Just clip in the phone (in case) and connect head phone jack works just fine.

As far as the mophie case itself, it works great - has plenty of battery life! I do like the idea that the apple case doesn't have a switch.
