Oem aux gauge wire harness DIY

Hello all,

I found a set of the oem aux gauges on eBay but just the gauges and the gauge holder no wires. I figured making my own harness wouldn't be too hard but was hoping for some advice from folks who've attempted this kind of thing before. I've attached 2 images of the wire harness and accompanying circuit diagram. I have few questions.

1) what size wire gauge should i use?

2) per the circuit diagram, the second circuit has terminal A2 on one end (earth ground which attaches to a ground location in the engine bay) and 4 terminals on the other end (A6 - A9; which attach to the 2 grounds on each gauge). How do I construct this part of the harness? Should I run 4 separate wires to the A2 terminal just connect them all at that end or do I run one and splice 3 more wires on to the other end?

Thanks in advance for the help!

-Matt

soo i need some help. i made the harness and connected everything per the OEM install instructions (http://www.minimania.com/images/inst...7620_INSTR.pdf), save for the add-a fuse (see below) BUT when I turned the key - no power/lights, etc.

I grounded everything at the battery ground location in the engine (under the small case that says "battery") - is that not correct?

I didn't use the add-a-fuse as I figured it was not necessary, but either way that shouldn't affect it working or not right? My understanding is that it's just to make sure if the gauges short the whole system doesn't short.

I'm a novice DIY and have wired things before, but they have always just worked and I'm just not sure how to approach diagnosing/fixing.

I just orderded a multimeter from amazon so I can test the gauges, and see if they actually work (they were said to be working from the ebay shop i purchased from). I don't think that's the issue though as I've bought parts from this shop before.

Thanks!

-Matt

Here some help: 82940415253

That's the harness below and you have the PDF linked above. I would mimic the harness wires very close.

The entire vehicle body is GND. Pick it up from any good exposed metal. Power is available at the radio, as is the illumination.

How much where the guages used?
