Thanks to all of you for all the input on my prior thread "Should I?" (bshane, Big Newt, Lord Winslow, Ryephile, ECSTuning, GregoryK). You really helped me spend money, ha ha. Pulled the trigger on a 2015 white silver Cooper, pretty loaded out. Cold Weather Package, Sports Package, Media Package and Premium Package. 6 speed manual by choice. Couldn't pass it up as I got $3100 off, the 0.9% financing and a great trade in on my 2012. I'll post pics, but here is the dealer photo. EXCITED!! I'll have a very long drive to get it, but worth it.
We have an S 4dr. in that color also. Have the windows tinted and it will look even better. Unfortunately... with less than 2k miles on it, some moron shoved a shopping cart into the door of our MINI. She says it was a rogue cart. No way since I parked 50 feet from any other car in the parking lot. Sorry for the tirade.
Thanks all, I am beyond impressed. It's really a look alike Mini body lowered over a BMW. WooHoo---the 3 cylinder with boost is amazing. Somehow I think they are under rating the power this puts out. The torque makes it pull hard, much more noticeably than my trusty justy. Hop on any interstate and it gets up to speed in a hurry. (Hard to make it "lug" in gear.) Sport mode with the 17" wheels and 45 series tires makes for a go cart that rides pretty smooth. It's better planted than my 2012 was, (but I'm still getting used to the "snout") so I don't think I lost any edge with regard to fun driving.
Driving home it saved my life. Guy in front of me kicked up a 12 foot section of metal guard rail. We were all going around 75 and it was airborne heading for my windshield. No time to think, just a hard crank to the right lane-stable as a slow turn.
I wasn't knocked out with white silver in the ad photo, but in person it's a looker. Think I'd like to ditch the chrome and have all black trim to better set it off. Peking Duck-sorry about the cart hit. That had to hurt. bshane, I drove a fully loaded 4 door my friend is looking at. That's what sold me on the 3 cylinder. They're like a limo Mini with the extra 6" wheelbase
First 640 miles 39.9 mpg on the meter. I'll have to tank check to see how accurate it is. Too busy driving and enjoying. And this is a "base" model.
Great driving! As i waffle between the 3 and 4 cylinders, the positive comments on the 3 are reassuring. Thanks. Spot on with the silver/black and blackout! Beautiful and safe car. Apparently I am too picky for the remaining 2015s; can't find "the one." Today wouldve been the day for a new VO/B!

Saw an all VO in the showroom, but w/o the black roof there was a bit too much of it for me. I've seen the VO with black wheels, roof and mirror caps and it's very striking. Mini wears any color well and with your purchase you can "learn to fall in love" with any color you get. Hope you find one. 40 mpg with the 3 is astounding. Manual is the ticket. I really only wanted roof, HK stereo, heated sport seats and LED lighting, so getting the Media package was a bonus. So many options you can easily double the base price of $20,700!!!
