Can I replaced cvt automatic with manual gear box

Hello every body
I'm thinking to replaced my Mini Cooper r50 2002 automatic cvt transmission with author manual gear box 5 or 6 speeds

What's your suggestions ?

It has been done. It's quite a lot of work. You'll find some project logs and discussion in the forums; use the search as they are quite old and will take forever to find by just clicking back in time

It can be done but there's a lot of stuff to replace, including wiring harnesses and
reprogramming the ECU on top of new pedals, shifter and cables, starter, transmission
mount, axles, etc., etc. If you're anywhere near Atlanta, Way Motor Works has done this
at least several times. Search this forum for other threads.
Here's a pdf that shows how to change from the Midlands to the 6-Speed Getrag.

Changing from the CVT to the the Getrag adds a few more steps and parts.

Yes we are the experts on the CVT to manual swap as we have done the most and do all the programming in house for it.
You will want to go to the 6spd as it's the most reliable.
The way we do it and program everything you don't have to replace the wiring. You do have to tap into the wiring for the reverse lights.
You can ship all the computers to us and we will program them for the swap.
