Upgrades

So in the next year or so (as funds become available) I want to do some upgrades, so I would like Pros and Cons of the following upgrades I am thinking of getting:

1. JCW Air Intake w/ Pipercross Foam filter
2. JCW Muffler
3. JCW Exhaust manifold
4. Wagner-Tuning Intercooler

Thanks in advance

So this totally just $.02 But when i see JCW i just think expensive, which is not to say they aren't quality, but there are other brands which all have their ideas.
The JCW intake is good, definitely one of the better ones of the market. Personally i'm partial to DOS but then again they are no longer around and their intake is a tough to find used item
Not sure why what you mean by exhaust manifold....but as for the muffler, that depends on the sound you want. If you're going for really loud JCW wouldn't cut it unless you pair it with a catless downpipe. As for other options you could build your own or go with Miltek, cnt, alta, AKPC....there's plenty of them.

The wagner intercooler is good. I can't really say anything else about it.

Yet again just my opinion everyone mods their car differently

JCW parts aren't bad, but often we can do something better for less. The JCW intake is what we do recommend, but just use the standard filter with it.
When you save up and are ready feel free to call us and we'll work with you to meet your goals at your budget.

So does the foam filter not give much of a benefit?

Intakes don't make big power if any on the R56. And with the filters I don't like to use any oiled filters as I don't want the oil in the sensors. Your money is better spent on a Forge Intercooler.

Intakes are not about power, more about temp management... I stay about 8° above ambient while moving. I don't have a problem with oiled filters but you need to go light on the oil while cleaning.
