Hi NAM members,

Sorry if this has already been discussed in the past but I have searched an answer in the threads and have not found one in specific.
I have a jcw air box in my cooper s and is time to change the intake air filter but I would like to put a dry high flow air filter as I feel that the factory one restricts the flow a little bit because it's a paper filter.

Could someone point me in the right direction of which is the best dry cone filter pros and cons.

On our R53 I replaced the paper JCW air filter with an Amsoil filter found on their cross reference chart by size. Best bang for the buck. At high field elevation, the air flow was vastly superior to the oe filter.. After seven years the filter still looks like new. Simply clean it with a vacuum. If Amsoil's nano filter technology is good enough to be used on an Abrams tank, then it is more than sufficient for our MINI.

aFe makes some good drop in filters here. Check them out towards the bottom.

Pelican, the Afe filter looks like is a panel filter. I am looking for a cone filter.
