Engine Differences

Hey all, so as a question that I can't find a definitive answer for, but what is the engine differences between the 2012 MCS and the 2012 JCW. I'm talking about the straight N14 engines BEFORE they changed it to the new ones. I'm messing around with my 2012 JCW, recently got an Alta Access Port for it, and I was going through the different tunes available for the ECU. Currently I have the Stage 1 flashed onto there, but I was curious to see if a STOCK JCW (except for an Alta CAI) could handle the Stage 1 FMIC upgrade. From what I've read so far, the difference between the tunes is the FMIC, but doesn't the JCW have an upgraded FMIC compared to a stock MCS, or am I imagining things? Out of the many forums I've researched on, only a handful said they are upgraded, but no definite answer. Please and thank you.

The JCW has the stock intercooler. There is no "JCW" intercooler.
